Like many musicians, I have had many projects and performances cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. I have however been lucky enough to do some performing: I recorded a recital with Nicholas Bosworth for broadcast as part of the online English Music Festival 2020, which included music by E. J. Moeran, Michael Balfe, Eric Fogg and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. I was happy to revisit the Balfe and the Coleridge-Taylor works, as I recorded these several years ago (see my Recordings page). There was an online concert for Bach to Baby, a wonderful organization that has continued to provide family-friendly performances in lockdown; I learned Fauré’s Papillon for the occasion, and it was good finally to perform this tricky little number! You can catch up on the concert on the Bach to Baby website. With Nicholas Bosworth I also did a live lunchtime recital for Morley College London, which is still available online. It has been a privilege to make music like this in lockdown, so my thanks to the organizers and the technical wizards who made this possible.
There is more live music on my YouTube channel.
